Idle Mode | The console has been reset and waiting for user input. The brickyard matrix displays an |
| animated “DB”, while the LED lamps light in series. If no input is detected for five (5) |
| minutes, the console will enter the power save mode. |
LCD | An acronym for liquid crystal display. The 500Er display screen is an LCD with integrated |
| backlighting for excellent visibility. |
LED | An acronym for Light Emitting Diode. The light above the program keys are LEDs. |
Watts | A unit of measurement which refers to the rate energy is expended or generated. |
Resistance Level | Also called intensity level. The load applied to the workout by the unit. The higher the |
| intensity level, the higher the resistance |
Heart Rate Control | Also called interactive heart rate control. To maintain a constant heart rate target, the |
| computer console will automatically adjust the resistance or load up or down to increase |
| and decrease the user’s heart rate. |
Heart Rate Sensors | Located on the fixed handlebar, the user can monitor their heart rate during a workout by |
| simply gripping the touch heart rate sensors. |
