NOTE: Ensure that the back tab is positioned towards the inside of the wheelchair and the round end is pointing upward.

2.Secure the cane mounting bracket and wedge blocks to the back cane with the two mounting bolts and hex nuts. Hand tighten securely.

NOTE: Some wheelchairs have adjustable back canes that are both 7/8” and 1”. Ensure the wedge blocks are completely on either the 7/8” or 1” section and not straddling the two. Refer to Detail “A” in FIGURE 2.2.

NOTE: It may be necessary to raise or lower the back canes to achieve the desired bracket placement. Refer to Owner’s Manual shipped with wheelchair.

3. Repeat STEPS 1 and 2 for the other cane mounting bracket.

NOTE: Cane mounting brackets MUST be parallel to each other.

4.Using the wrench supplied or 7/16 socket wrench, securely tighten the mounting bolts.

NOTE: DO NOT tighten the mounting bolts until the back height has been adjusted correctly.

NOTE: Check the alignment of the mounting brackets before tightening.
