SECTION 4—MAINTENANCE

Cleaning Instructions

Back Assembly

Clean weekly with dampened cloth. Wipe entire surface.

Weekly visual inspection of parts including hardware, brackets, upholstery materials, foams (if accessible), and plastics, for deformation, corrosion, breakage, wear or compression.

Cover

CAUTION

Machine wash cold. Gentle cycle. Mild detergent. NO fabric softeners or bleach. DO NOT machine dry. Air dry ONLY out of sun.

Foam

Replace back foam if it becomes contaminated because of incontinence. The back foam is absorbent and cannot be cleaned.

WARNING

The cover is designed to protect the foam against a user’s incontinence and to provide fire retardant so the cushion must not be used without its cover. If the cover is torn, it must be replaced.

Continued use with absent or damaged cover by an incontinent user can result in severe skin irritation, infection, and other skin care issues.
