Controls on the right side. AMPLIFIER OFF ON. This switch deter-
mines the initial state of the amplification on the handset. It always returns the handset to whichever position the switch is set. When Off, the handset starts calls in
To protect persons with normal hearing we suggest setting the switch to OFF. This will keep the volume at a normal level until the AMPLIFY button is pressed.
T P (Tone/Pulse). Slide the switch to the type of telephone service you have; “T” (touch tone) or “P” (pulse) for rotary dialing.
RING TONE. Slide to set ringer tone to “L” (low) or “H” (high).
RINGER. Slide to set ringer loudness to “OFF”, “L” (low), “M” (medium) or “H” (high).
EXT SPK OUT (Audio) jack. This
3.5mm jack is compatible with Personal Computer speakers and assistive listening devices such as a neckloop and cochlear implant. See page 7 (handset).

AC ADAPTER jack. This jack is for the AC adapter that provides electric power to your phone. See page 31 “Product Specifications.”
TELEPHONE LINE jack. Next to the DC adapter, this jack allows connection to the telephone line.
