The Ringer Equivalent Number is an indication of the maximum number of terminals allowed to be connected to
atelephone interface.The termination on an interface may consist of any com- bination of devices subject only to the requirement that the sum of the Ringer Equivalent Number of all the devices not exceed five.

Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used battery according to the instructions.
Use only the following type and size battery pack:

Do not dispose of the battery pack in a fire. It may explode. Check with local codes for pos- sible special disposal instructions.
Do not open or mutilate the battery pack. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.
Exercise care in handling the battery pack to prevent shorting the battery with conductive materials such as rings, bracelets and keys.The battery pack or conductor may overheat and cause burns.
Charge the battery pack provided with or identified for use with this product only in accordance with the instructions and limitations specified in this manual.
Observe proper polarity orientation between the battery pack and battery charger.
