Precautions when Recording or Playback using LCD

Hinweise zum Aufnehmen und Wiedergeben mit dem LCD-Monitor

1)High precision technology is used to manufacture the LCD display. However, there may be some tiny black specks (red, blue or green in colour) that constantly appear on the LCD display. These specks are normal and do not affect the recorded picture in anyway.

2)When using the LCD display outdoors or in direct sunlight, it may be difficult to see.

In this case, we recommend that you use the viewfinder.

3)The LCD display's OSD is turned off when the LCD is turned to the forward facing position.

1)Der LCD-Monitor wird mit höchster Präzision gefertigt. Trotzdem kann es vorkommen, dass auf dem Monitor kleine Flecken (rot, blau oder grün) erscheinen. Dies deutet nicht auf eine Fehlfunktion hin und beeinträchtigt die Aufnahmen in keiner Weise.

2)Bei starkem Einfall von Sonnenlicht ist der LCD-Monitor eventuell nur schwer erkennbar. Verwenden Sie in diesem Fall den Suchermonitor.

3)Wenn der LCD-Monitor nach vorn (zum Objektiv hin) gedreht ist, erscheinen keine Monitoranzeigen.

Precautions when using the hand strap

✤It is very important to adjust the hand strap correctly so that the camera can be held

steady. (see page 16)

✤Do not insert your hand in the hand strap forcibly, as it may result in damaging the velcro locking system.

Hinweise zur Halteschlaufe

✤ Stellen Sie vor dem Aufnehmen die Halteschlaufe richtig ein; dies ermöglicht stabile Aufnahmen in bequemer Haltung (siehe Seite 16).

✤ Ziehen oder reiß en Sie nicht an der Halteschlaufe. Dies kann die Ö sen oder die Schnalle beschädigen.

Precautions when cleaning the video heads

✤To ensure normal recording and clear pictures, ensure that the heads are kept clean. When playing back the pictures, if they are noisy or hardly visible, the video heads may be dirty. If this happens, clean the video heads with a dry type head cleaning tape.

✤Do not use the wet type of head cleaner as it may damage the video heads. (see page 58)

Hinweise zur Reinigung der Videoköpfe

✤Reinigen Sie die Videoköpfe in regelmäß igen Abständen, um stets optimale Aufnahmen und klare scharfe Bilder zu erhalten. Wenn das Wiedergabebild verrauscht oder unscharf ist, kann dies an verschmutzten Videoköpfen liegen. Reinigen Sie die Videoköpfe in diesem Fall mit einer Reinigungskassette (Trockenreinigungskassette).

✤Verwenden Sie keine Feuchtreinigungskassetten - sie können die Videoköpfe beschädigen (siehe Seite 58).

5 minutes off timer in STANDBY mode

✤To protect against tape and head-drum wear, your camcorder will automatically turn itself off if left in STANDBY mode without operation for more than 5 minutes.

✤Nach fünf Minuten im Betriebsbereitschaftsmodus schaltet sich der Camcorder automatisch aus. Dies dient zum Schutz des Bands und der Kopftrommel und spart Akkustrom.
