4Remove the pilot orifice following the instructions below. Replace with the propane pilot orifice

aLift the pilot hood off the pilot

assembly.

cRemove the orifice and replace with the LP orifice. Screw the orifice all the way in and replace the pilot hood.

Orifice Identification:

bUse a hex wrench to

unscrew the orifice.

5/32" Hex

NOTE: when re-attaching, this pin lines up with the notch in the pilot hood.

5Install the logs and embers.

6Replace glass and face.

7Remove the regulator from the front of the gas control valve. Replace with the propane regulator, using the new gasket and screws included with the regulator. NOTE: Leak test this area after the heater is installed, gas is connected, and the main burner is lit.

Remove and discard the three

screws using a slotted screwdriver

of Torx T-20.

Remove and discard the

regulator, diaphram, spring

and center post.

Install the LP regulator. Use the screws included with the LP regulator. Tighten to approximately 25 Lbs. torque.

Place the LP label on the base of the fireplace near the gas control valve.

NOTE: Make sure the

regulator gasket is correctly

aligned before installation.

8Make the gas line connection, bleed the gas line (if applicable), start the heater and thoroughly leak-test all gas connections and the gas control valve. Check the pilot. Adjust if necessary.

WARNING: When lighting or re-lighting the pilot, the glass must be removed (see page 2 9 ) .

To adjust the pilot flame, turn this screw (NOTE: if totally

 

The pilot flame must contact the thermocouple and

9Inspect the flames. Adjust the air shutter if necessary (see step 7 on page 35).
