Unmounting the

To unmount the CD-ROM, follow these steps:

CD-ROM

 

1Make sure that no processes (shelltool, commandtool or any other application) have /cdrom as the current working directory.

2Make sure that you have Superuser (root) access. If you do not have this access, at the command prompt enter:

/usr/bin/su

3Unmount the CD-ROM as root.

On Solaris 2.5.x with or without “vold” running, at the # prompt enter:

umount /cdrom/cdrom0

eject /cdrom
