Ford Enhanced (OBD II) Diagnostics

Read All DTC
The Read All DTC function retrieves all DTCs (MIL, non-MIL, Pending and
Memory) stored in the vehicle’s computer module( s) . This funct ion can be pe r-
formed with the KOEO or KOER.
Select Read All DTC and press
. The Scan Tool retrieves the
DTCs stored in the vehicle’s computer
module(s).
If a message displays stating SYSTEM
PASS: NO DTCS FOUND, press the
key to return to the
Ford Func-

tion List.

If DTCs are found, use the arrow
key to view them.
Write down the DTCs for reference. Use
the arrow keys to review the
DTCs.

Pending Codes
Refer to “Pending Codes” on page4-3 of Global OBD II Diagnostics.
Erase Codes
Refer to “Erase Codes” on page4-3 of Global OBD II Diagnostics. Perform
this KOEO. After erasing the DTCs, verify new ones have not been set using
the Read All DTC function.
View Data
The View Data function allows you to view the vehicle’s Parameter Identifica-
tion (PID) data in real time. As the computer monitors the vehicl e, the i nforma-
tion is simultaneously transmitted to the scan tool. Apart from Read Codes,
View Data is the most useful diagnostic function for isolating the cause of a
vehicle driveability problem. View data is also used for observing sensor data
and the status of switches, solenoids, and relays.
