Removing the Processor Heat Sink

Prerequisites
1Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 14.
2Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 16.
3Remove the processor fan. See "Removing the Processor Fan" on page 34.
Procedure
1In sequential order (indicated on the heat sink), loosen the captive screws that secure the heat sink to the system board.
2Tilt and lift the heat sink off the computer base.
