Removing the Battery

Prerequisites
Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 14.
Procedure
1Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
2Remove the screws that secure the battery to the computer base.
3Using the battery cable, lift and release the battery from the tabs on the computer base.

4Turn the computer over and open the display.
5Press and hold the power button for five seconds to ground the system board.
