Notes:• Whenthe Alti-IP6 00 is booted up without the PC port plugged in,
theP C port defaults to 10Mbps.
• Ifthe PC port is to be used, the user should plug in both the LAN
portand PC port before the IP phone is booted.
• Theuser should reboot the Alti-IP 600 under any of the following
conditions:
— afterdisconnecting the LAN cable to the phone
— after changing the IP address or DHCP setting
— afterrebooting the PC
Note: Ifthe PC is rebooted during a connected call, the voice
pathwill be interrupted for 4-5 seconds to reinitialize the
TCP/IP protocol stack.
To connect the Alti-IP 600H/600PH:a. Connectan Ethernet cable from the IP-PBX to the network port on
thephone.
b. Connectthe handset to the receiver jack.
c. Connectan Ethernet cable from another network device, such as a
desktop computer, to the access PC port on the phone.
d. Connectthe powe r plug to the AC Adapter port.
4. Configuring Startup Network Settings
Ifyou are using DHCP, you do not need to configure anything.
Proceedto Step 5.
Ifyou are not using DHCP, you must configure these network settings
on theA lti-IP 600af ter installing the phone on then etwork:
• LocalIP address
• IPsubnet mask
• Defaultgateway IP address
5. Configuringthe AltiWare IP Settings
Ifyou are using Gatekeeper Auto Discovery, you do not need to
configureanything. Proceed to Step 6.
