Phone Functions

TheAlti-IP 600 provides a broad range of call handling and dialing features

directlyon the phone and through the AltiWare system. The following

section lists the supported telephony features, a brief description and

additionalconfiguration notes where applicable.

AutoAnswer Whena call comes in, the

BusyLamp
Field(BLF) Associates Soft Key with
anextension that can be
automaticallydialedwhen
selected;the
correspondingb utton
lightindicat es that the
extensionisbusyand
blinkswhen ringi ng.
TheBLF ring tone is only
playedwhen the phone is
idlestate. It is stopped
whenthe destination
phonestops ringing or the
localphone exits idle
state.
Whenmultiple BLF
extensionsring
simultaneously,the IP
phonewill play thefirst
BLFextension r inger and
beeptones and ignor e
otherBLF extensi ons.
•FromAltiAdmin/ACM Admin,
goto AltiGen IP Phone
Configurationon the
ManagementMenu, go to the
desiredextension, and set the
appropriatefun ction key to BLF
andenter the extension i n the field
below.Selectthe Play BeepTone
checkboxto have theIP Phone
playan audible beep or one of six
different ring tones when the
extensionis ringing.
•TheBLFFeaturecanonlybe
assignedto internal extension
number,not outside num bers.
•Thefeature is not available in
BasicMode.
