Ifyou are not using Gatekeeper Auto Discovery, you must manually

configurethe AltiWare IP address setting int othe Alti- IP 600. Refer to

“ConfiguringIP Settings” on page 24.

6. Activatethe IP Extension

Oncethe device is initialized, the user must follow these steps to

activate the IP Extension.

Note: Theuser must be running AltiGen’s Gatekeeper service for full

functionality.

a. Withthehandset onhook, press # 27, then the ENTE R button.

b. Enter your extension number and password when prompted.

c. The phone will attempt to register as shown in the LCD screen.

Ifthe phone successfully passes through these stages,the phone shows

thetime and extension in the LCD screen andis now i n normal

operatingmode.

Otherwise,refer to “Troubleshooting” on page 37.

Plug and Play Setup

Thesteps for plug and play setup will vary depending on whetheror not the

Alti-IP600 Phone has been started. When the Alti-IP 600 is started for the

firsttime, it can support plug and play to enable the phone to automati cally

registeritself to AltiServ. If the Alti-IP 60 0 has already been started, follow

theinstructions “Plug and Play Setup After IP Phone is Started” on page 14.

Important Notes:

• To use the Plug and Play feature, the user’s IP Phone must be on the

local LAN with AltiServ

• There canon lybe one (1) AltiS erv onth eLAN .
