Configuration takes about 30 seconds. When it’s finished, the Network Configuration lists the following:

Click the checkboxes to turn on file or printer sharing. Then click OK.

If file or printer sharing has been selected, the following line is added to the Network Configuration Box:

File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks

Select the Identification tab.

The computer must have a unique identity to access the network.

In the window that appears, type the following information and then click OK:

ma unique name for the computer

ma workgroup for the computer (typically WORKGROUPS)

ma description to identify the computer (optional)

Click the OK button at the bottom of the configuration box when you are finished. When prompted, insert the Windows 95 CD into the CD-ROM drive.

You are asked if you want to restart your computer. Select No.

Eject the Windows 95 CD and then insert the PC Compatibility Card–PC Utilities CD into the CD-ROM drive.

Click Start and choose Run from the menu that appears.
