RAID 3 and 5 Schemes
You can use RAID 3 or 5 with or without a drive module designated as a hot spare. You can use RAID 3 or 5 with four drive modules on one controller and three on the other or with all the modules on one RAID controller. If a hot spare is used, it serves all arrays on the controller where the spare is located.
