Setting Console Password

This option sets the IntraSwitch 5212’s Console password.The

Console password is the password needed to access the Local

Management Interface’s Configuration Menu.

▲Important! The default password is Asante.

To change the current Console password:

1 Type c from the Configuration Menu.

The following command line appears at the bot- tom of the screen.

2	Type a new password at the “Enter New Pass-
	word” prompt.

▲ Important! The password is case sensi- tive.

The password must be a minimum of one character and a maximum of 20 characters in length. The password takes any ASCII code.

Press Return.

Type the new password again at the confirma- tion password prompt.

Press Return.

The IntraSwitch 5212’s Console password is changed.
