Options while on calls

Call privacy

For call privacy, you can also block all other system handsets and the main telephone base from joining a phone conversation (see page 27 for instructions for joining a call).

To enable call privacy:

During a call, press the Option softkey and then press the Select softkey to choose Privacy ON. The screen displays -PRIV. Any other extensions are dropped and no extensions can join the call. If another extension tries to access the line you are using, its screen displays Privacy.

To cancel call privacy:

During a call, press the Option softkey and then press the Select softkey to choose Privacy OFF. The message -PRIVdisappears from the screen. Other extensions can now join the call by pressing the appropriate line key.

NOTES:

Call privacy is automatically canceled when you end or transfer a call.

You cannot set call privacy during intercom or conference calls.

Call privacy applies only to system telephones. It does not affect non-system phones using the same line(s).
