Event Log

The event log is stored in the logfile.txt file located in the System/ServerProperties folder. In the event log, the StorPoint CD writes information such as:

Information, e.g. completed tasks

Warnings, e.g. hard disk full

Errors, e.g. installation failures

To display the event log, follow these steps:

1.Start your Web browser, and enter the name or IP address of the StorPoint CD in the location/address field.

2.Click admin. You will be prompted for the Server password. By default, this is set to pass. To change the password, see “Server Password” on page 24.

3.Click Event Log.

All events are viewed in the same order as they entered the log.

Notes: If a synchronization source has been found or if the correct date and time have been set manually, date information will appear in the log file.

When the server is restarted, a sub-set of critical events will remain in the event log.

Click Clear Event Log, to clear the event log of events.
