Environments

Notes: The access rights are additive which means that the user’s access rights are the summary of the rights granted from individual assignments and group memberships.

Files and subfolders on the disc will automatically inherit the same access rights as the root folder.

Follow these steps:

1.In the Windows NT Explorer, select the disc or volume for which you want to change the access rights.

2.Select Properties from the File menu.

3.Select the Security tab, and click the Permissions button.

4.Specify the permissions.

5.Click OK.

Note: Access rights work as in any other Windows NT 4 Server. The built-in help in Windows NT 4 is a good place to start learning more about NT security. See access permissions: files, directories.
