Section 7 FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
This section describes how to configure the StorPoint CD for FTP.
The StorPoint CD can be used as an FTP server, i.e. it is possible to use the File
Transfer Protocol (FTP) to put and get files. You can use FTP for:
•Upgrading the firmware
•Accessing the mounted discs
Note: ❏ The FTP protocol is always enabled in the StorPoint CD.
The following FTP commands are supported:
get put dir cd pwd
If you intend to use StorPoint CD in a multiprotocol environment, proceed to the other relevant sections in this manual:

Network Settings
Use the Administration pages within the StorPoint CD Web interface to specify the FTP settings. Follow these steps:
1.Start your Web browser, and enter the name or IP address of the StorPoint CD in the location/address field.
2.Click admin. You will be prompted for the Server password. By default, this is set to pass. To change the Server password, see “Server Password” on page 24.
3.Click Network Settings.
4.Click Detailed View . The Protocols dialog box appears.
