Bake (Hornear) significa cocinar con aire seco y caliente. Tanto el elemento superior como el inferior funcionan en ciclos para mantener la temperatura del horno.

El modo Bake (Hornear) puede utilizarse para preparar una variedad de alimentos, desde pastelería hasta estofados. Consulte la temperatura del horno y el tiempo de horneado en las indicaciones de la receta o del paquete.

Consejos: • Precaliente el horno si la receta lo recomienda.

El tiempo de horneado dependerá del tamaño, la forma y el acabado de los utensilios para hornear. En los moldes de metal oscuro o con recubrimientos antiadherentes, los alimentos se cocinan más rápido y se doran más. Los utensilios para hornear con aislante alargan el tiempo de cocción para la mayoría de los alimentos.

Para obtener los mejores resultados, hornee los alimentos en una rejilla individual con un espacio de 1" a 1½", como mínimo, entre los moldes o las fuentes y las paredes del horno.

Elimine la pérdida de temperatura del horno controlando periódicamente el grado de cocción de los alimentos a través de la ventana, en lugar de abrir la puerta.

Si se necesita usar varias rejillas, use 2 rejillas como máximo. Para pasteles, use las posiciones de rejilla 3 y 5. Para galletas, use las posiciones de rejilla 1 y 4. Distribuya los moldes alternadamente, de manera que no queden directamente uno arriba del otro, (consulte el gráfico que figura a continuación). También se puede usar un modo por convección.
