Connecting to a switchboard

If you want to connect your BF900 to a switchboard, (also known as a PBX), you can take advantage of its PBX mode.

You can also follow these steps to switch back to PSTN for connection to the normal public network.

Press the FUNCTION button. Display shows

FUNCTION MODE 0~9,#,*,<,>.

• Press (or the buttons) to display

DIAL OPTIONS 0~9,#,*,<,> ENTER.

Press the ENTER button. Display shows

DIAL OPTIONS 0~9 <,>.

• Press 2 (or the

arrows) to display

PSTN/PBX 1-9 ENTER.

Press the ENTER button. Display shows

PSTN/PBX PSTN: >, ENTER.

Use the > button to display PSTN or PBX.

Press the ENTER button to confirm the setting.

If you chose PSTN, the display will show

PSTN/PBX DATA ENTRY OK and then returns to standby.

If you have chosen PBX the display shows

PREFIX NO=PRESS ENTER.

Use the keypad to enter the prefix number you need to dial in order to get an outside line.

Press the ENTER button. Display shows

PRE-FIX NO=123 DATA ENTRY OK and then returns to standby.

To change the dial mode

Most modern telephone equipment uses Tone dialling. This should only be changed if Pulse dialling is required in order for your BF900 to work with your switchboard.

TONE/PULSE TONE: >, ENTER.

Use the > button to select TONE or PULSE.

Press the ENTER button to confirm the setting. Display shows TONE/PULSE DATA ENTRY OK and then returns to standby.
