Backup

Backup Data from your Windows PC

To back up data from your PC to the TeraStation, use the backup program, included with your TeraStation. The backup software can be installed from your TeraNavigator CD.

Backup Data on the TeraStation

You can back up folders on the TeraStation to any of the following destinations:

•Another TeraStation (instructions on pages 32, 33, and 34)

• A different folder on the same TeraStation (instructions on pages 32 and 34)

•A USB hard drive connected to the TeraStation (instructions on page 34)

•Set up Destination for Backup

Before backing up to a TeraStation, you must configure a folder on the TeraStaion as a backup destination.

In the Web Admin interface, click [Shared Folders] - [Folder Setup].

Choose the folder you want to set as a backup destination.

Check [Disk Backup] from [Shared Folder Support].

Optional: To configure a password for backup jobs to this share, enter it in the [Remote backup password] field. If you do not want to set a password, do not enter anything.

4 Click [Save] at the bottom of the screen.
