Feeding in the Bypass Mode

When scanning multiple page documents that are fastened together, such as invoices, place the documents so that the top (or the edge that is fastened together) is fed through the scanner first.

1Switch the feed selection lever to (Bypass).

2Adjust the document guides to fit the width of the document to be scanned. (See p.22.)

3Place the document face down, with the top (or the edge that is fastened together) fed through the scanner first. (See p.22.)

4Use the application software to start scanning.

IMPORTANT

When placing documents that are fastened together, such as invoices, place the fastened side of the document so that it is fed through the scanner first.

After you finish scanning, close the document eject tray to prevent damage to the scanner while it is not being used.

Placing Cards

1Switch the feed selection lever to (Bypass).

When scanning cards, make sure to set the feed selection lever to (Bypass), and scan the cards one at a time.
