Full Syntax

sgm eventeditor [hostname]

Command Description

Starts an SGM Event Configurator on the specified host. If no host name is specified, starts an SGM Event Configurator on the default host, as specified during installation. See the “Connecting to a New Server” section on page 2-63for information about determining the default host.

For more information about the SGM Event Configurator, see the “Changing the Way SGM Processes Events” section on page 5-33.

If you Telnet into a remote workstation, the DISPLAY variable must be set to your local display, or you cannot use this command. If the DISPLAY variable is not set automatically, you must set it manually. See the “Setting the DISPLAY Variable (Solaris Only)” section on page 19-41for details.

sgm eventlog

Full Syntax

sgm eventlog [clear -r]

Command Description

Uses PAGER to display the contents of the SGM event automation log. The event automation log lists all messages generated by scripts launched by event automation.

To clear the log and restart the server, enter sgm eventlog clear.

To display the contents of the log in reverse order, with the most recent events at the beginning of the log, enter sgm eventlog -r.

You must be logged in as the root user or as a super user to use this command.
