Appendix C SGM Command Reference

sgm deluser

sgm deluser

Solaris Only

Full Syntax

sgm deluser [username]

Command Description

If SGM User-Based Access is enabled, deletes the specified user from the authentication list. To add the user back to the list, use the sgm adduser command.

See the “Manually Disabling Users and Passwords (Solaris Only)” section on page 18-14for more information on the use of this command.

You must be logged in as the root user or as a super user to use this command.

Full Syntax

sgm disablepass [username]

Command Description

If SGM User-Based Access is enabled and sgm authtype is set to local, disables the specified user’s authentication and password. SGM does not delete the user from the authentication list, SGM only disables the user’s authentication and password.

To re-enable the user’s authentication with the same password as before, use the sgm enableuser command.

To re-enable the user’s authentication with a new password, use the sgm userpass command.
