Installing a Heat Sink/Shroud

1Use a lint-free cloth, remove thermal grease from the heat sink.

2Apply new thermal grease evenly to the center of the top new processor.

CAUTION: Using excess thermal grease can cause grease to contact the processor shield, which can cause contamination of the processor socket.

3Position heat sink/shroud assembly at a slight tilt to insure shroud is inserted below the sled flange (see final installed view), then lower the assembly onto the four supporting posts on the motherboard .

4Align the four screws of the heatsink to the four threaded posts and tighten the four screws .
