On some models, you may first need to
remove the heat sink fan. 5Pull down on the side of the power supply nearest you, then remove the
power supply from the bay.
6Slide the new power supply into the power supply bay until its back is flush
with the back of the case.
7Use the four screws you removed previously to secure the new power
supply to the case.
8Reconnect the power supply cables to the system board and to the drives.
9Replace the side panel by following the instructions in “Replacing the side
panel” on page147.

You need a Phillips screwdriver to add or
replace the heat sink. To replace the heat sink:
1Remove the side panel by following the instructions in “Removin g the side
panel” on page144.
2Place the computer case on its side.
3Disconnect the heat sink fan’s power connector from the system board.
