•thepasswordshavealreadybeensetforvarioususers,

•thesystemIPaddressisset,and

•othersystemparametershavebeenset.

WhenyouinstallanewDFEmoduleintoasystemwithanexistingconfigureduser

account,thecurrentsystemsettingsinthataccountarealreadyrecognizedbythenew

DFEmoduleanditwilloperateaccordingly.

Ifyouneedtochangeanysettings,youcanconnectaterminaltothelocalconsoleportas

describedin“ConnectingtoCOMPortforLocalManagement”onpage3‐23toaccess

systemmanagement,oruseaTelnetconnectiontoaccesstheDFEmodulesystem

managementasdescribedinChapter3oftheMatrixDFE‐GoldSeriesConfigurationGuide.
