The terms flashing, blinking, and solid used in Table4-1 indicate the following:
Flashing indicates an LED is flashing randomly.
Blinking indicates an LED is flashing at a steady rate (approximately 50% on, 50%
off).
Solid indicates a steady LED light. No pulsing.
Alternating indicates an LED is flashing in a steady rate other than 50% on, 50% off.

Green Solid. This module is the
designated Management
Module.

Amber Flashing. This is a
temporary indication that the
module is saving data.

CPU None Power off. Ensure chassis has adequate power.
Amber Blinking. Module in process
of booting.

Solid. Testing. If the LED remains amber for several
minutes, contact EnterasysNetworks
for technical support.
Green Blinking. Image starts
running.
None.
Solid. Functional. None.
Red Solid. Processor in reset. None.
Green

Blinking. Indicates that the
module is in the process of
shutting down.
None. This state is activated when the
OFFLINE/RESET switch is pressed for
less than 1 second to start the process
of an orderly shutdown.
While in this state, do not remove any
DFE-Gold module from the chassis.
