4.4 SNMP COMMUNITY NAMES CONFIGURATION SCREEN
When to Use
To set the Local Management community names. Community names act as passwords to
Local/Remote Management and provide security access to the chassis. Access to the chassis is
controlled by enacting any of three different levels of security authorization (read-only, read-write,
and super-user).
How to Access
Use the arrow keys to highlight the SNMP COMMUNITY NAMES CONFIGURATION menu
item in the SNMP Configuration Menu screen and press ENTER. The SNMP Community Names
Configuration screen, Figure4-4, displays.

NOTE: Super-User access gives the user full management privileges, allows existing
passwords to be changed, and all modifiable MIB objects for the Enterasys/Cabletron
Container MIB and Internet MIB-II to be edited.
