Setting Up Your

Scanner

Setting up your scanner is easy. For most installations, just follow the steps in this book in the order listed below.

1.Unpack and choose a place for your scanner.

2.Unlock the scanner.

3.Connect the scanner to your computer.

4.Power on your scanner, then power on your computer.

5.Install the scanner software.

6.View your electronic manuals.

If you have a Macintosh, you may prefer to install the scanner software before you connect the scanner to your computer. See “Installing the Macintosh Software” on page 45. If you decide to connect the scanner before you install the software, you’ll see a message that your scanner driver needs to be installed. Just close the message and proceed with the installation instructions.
