RS-232 connection

12Remote port — Connect a host device, such as a computer or touch panel control, to the IN1508 switcher via this 9-pin D connector for serial RS-232 control (figure 2-5).

Install two AAA batteries as shown (figure 2-6).

Configuration

The switcher must be configured for the video that is connected to input 5 and for the output video device. Configuration can be accomplished using either the front panel controls, the IR remote control, or the Simple Instruction Set. See chapter 3, “Operation”, and chapter 4, “Serial Communications”.
