13.5 Lock Functions

The Lock function electronically locks keys to prevent acci- dental changes and function access from the microphone.

• All keys and controllers on the transceiver are functional.

13.6 Display Backlighting

The function display and keys can be backlit for better visibil- ity under low light conditions. The backlighting condition can also be adjusted independently from the transceiver.

13.5.1 Activating the Lock function

➥While pushing [H/L], push

[SQL] (MONI L ) to turn the Lock

function ON or OFF.

• “ ” appears.

• Only	[PWR], [PTT], [H/L],
[SQL] (			L ), [VOL]+[Y]/[Z]
		MONI
and	[SQL]+[Y]/[Z] are functional.
				Appears when the lock

function is in use.

13.5.2 Activating the All key lock function

➥While pushing [H/L], turn the

qPush [VOL] ( DIM ) for 1 sec. to enter Backlight adjusting mode.

•“ ” with the number of the backlight level appears in the channel comment indicator.

wPush [Y]/[Z] to adjust the backlight level.

•The backlight level is adjustable between 0 (light OFF) and 7 (brightest).

Appears while in the Backlight adjustment mode.

power ON by pushing [PWR] to turn the All key lock function ON or OFF.

• “ ” blinks.
• Only [PWR] and [PTT] are func-
tional.		Blinks when the all lock
	function is in use.

For your reference:

Pushing [Y]/[Z], while [H/L] is pushed, also adjusts backlight level.

• No backlight level indication is available.
