EGC setup

The FELCOM 12 receives EGC messages directed to its present po- sition and Navarea without further programming. The EGC Setup screen lets you select additional areas for which you wish to receive messages and also the Navtex station and type of message for Coastal Warning (NAVTEX Re-broadcast).

1. Press [F8] to display the Setup menu.

The cursor is on the Additional Position line, where you can enter L/L position of an ocean region you want to receive broadcasts for.

3.Press [Enter] to open the additional position window.

4.Enter positions as follows.

a)Enter latitude.

b)Enter [N] or [S].

c)Enter longitude.

d)Enter [E] or [W].
