Keypad Security Configuration

The DDI contains security controls to keep unauthorized personnel fr om operating or

reconfiguring th e drive. These security controls can be modified from the toolbox or

from the DDI. The controls are password protected in the DDI.

Function configuration
Parameter Description
Keypad privilege Selects the privilege level in the DDI. Possible levels are:
Read only - Disables both drive controls and configuration
functions. Allows user to view but not edit parameters.
Operate & re ad only – Enables drive controls, but disables
configura tion functions . Allows user to vi ew but not edit
parameter s.
Configure & operate - Enables both drive controls and
configuration functions.

Keypad password Sets the 5-digit password value for the DDI. When a user
attempts to modify the Keypad security conf iguration from
the DDI, he wi ll be prompted to en ter a password. If the
entered password does not match the value in Keypad
password, the user will not be permitted to modify the
security configuration (Keypad privileg e and Keypad
password).
