Chapter 3 Paramters/Functions Innovation Series Medium Voltage GP Type - G Drives GEH-6385
Leakage Inductance Curve
The Leakage Inductance Curve describes th e relationsh ip between motor leakage
flux and torque current. The motor data sheet does not provide Leak age Inductance
Curve information. The charact eristics of the curve can be obtain ed experimentally
or by running the Motor Control Tuneup.
Line Transfer
The Line Transfer function transfers a motor from the drive to the utility line and
captures a motor fr om the utility line to return control to the drive. In addition to the
parameters and variables documented here the Line Transfer Tuneup wizard is
provided to simplify and automate many of the tasks required to correctly
commission this fun ction. To use this function you must have the necessary
contactors and operat or interfaces as described in th e "Innovation Series Line
Transfer Applicat ion Guide". The following figure s ummarizes the power one-line of
a basic line tran sfer application.

General operation

The following table specifies the general configuration parameters for this function.
Parameter Description
Line reference Selects t he source of the ut ility line refer ence. The use of th e
internal line reference (ILR) is encouraged unless conditions exist
such that it is not possible to accurately predict the utility phase and
magnitude at the motor from the source voltage applied to the drive.
See the "Innovation Series Line Transfer Application Guide" for a
complete discussion of issues related to line reference sel ection.
The following table sp ecifies the general status var iables for this function.
Variable Description
Line xfer enabled I ndicates that the line transfer function is enabled.
Transfer MA
request
Indicates that the transfer/capture sequence has requested the
MA contactor to close.
