GEH-6385 Reference and Troubleshooting, 2300 V Dr ives Chapter 4 Wizards
4-21
When the programm ed ramp rate mode is a ctive, the accelerat ion and deceleration
rates depend on the magni tude of the speed reference. Three s eparate acceleration
rates and three separat e deceleration rates may be defin ed for the ramp. The rate of
change of the speed referen ce is limited to the active acceler ation rate when the
magnitude of the speed r eference is increasing. The rat e of change of the speed
reference is limited to the active deceleration rat e when the magnitude of the speed
reference is decreasin g.
Select Indep accel/decel to activate the speed independent ramp rate mode. Select
Prog accel/decel to select th e programmed ramp rate mode.

Drive Commissioning: R eference Ramp SpeedIndependent Rates
The speed independent r amp rate mode implements one acceler ation rate and one
deceleration rate for all speeds. The rate of change of the s peed reference is limited
to the acceleration ra te when the magnitude of the speed refer ence is increasing. The
rate of change of the speed r eference is limited to the deceler ation rate when the
magnitude of the speed r eference is decreasing.
The acceleration and decel eration ramp rates belong t o one of two ramp rate sets.
Ramp rate set 1 is defined by Acceleration rate 1 and Deceleration rate 1. Ramp rat e
set 2 is defined by Acceleration rate 2 and Deceleration rate 2.
Enter values for the four parameters to define the ramp rates.

Ramp rate 2 select specifies which set is active. When Ramp rate 2 select is False,
ramp rate set 1 is active. Wh en it is True, ramp rate set 2 is active.
Specify the signal which Ramp rate 2 select selects.
