Configure Filtering
Next, select the filtering delay to eliminate noise due to the AC power lines. Filtering increases the
response time to changes in a channel.
The choices for filtering are:
A. 10 ms: The m odule averages the most recent 8 samples of the input.
B. 20 ms: The module averages th e most recent 16 samples of th e in p ut.
The module will perform filtering on all inputs on the module that are configured as “active”

Configure the Line Frequency
Next, set the line frequency for the module. Select 50 or 60 Hz.
Disturbances due to AC n oi s e ca use variations around the d es ir ed DC level. The amplitude of
these variations can be reduced by configuring the rate at which the module scans inputs for the
operating frequency. If the line frequency is configured at 60 Hz, the module scans each input
channel every 1.04 mill i seconds. If the line frequ en c y is configured at 50 Hz, the modul e scans
each input channel ever y 1. 2 5 mS .
