Specify the actual slot number and a length of 20.

Entering the Reference Addresses

The reference addre sses are the locations in the BIU's I, Q, AI, or AQ mem ory used by the module's

data. In this module configuration only, th e input reference is the fi rst non-zero entry WIT HOUT the

corresponding bit set in byte 12 (see bel ow) The output reference is the first non- z er o entry WITH

the corresponding bit set. In byt e 12, bit s 4, 5, 6, and 7 define the input reference. For example, if bit

6 of byte 12 is set to 1 and a reference is specified in bytes 8 and 9, inputs for the module will be

mapped to the AI table. Note that the entries must correspond properly, or the BIU will reject the

module configurati on. In a normal configurati on for a combination dis crete module, inputs go t o the I

table and outputs go t o the Q table. In that cas e, you enter the input re ference in bytes 4/5 and th e

output reference in bytes 6/7, an d set bit 4 of byte 12 to 1. All oth er reference address bytes and oth er

input reference bits (in byte 12) must be s et t o zero.
