NOTE:

There are two attachment points on the muffler. The lower support has a lip that fits into a slot in the bracket on the side of the generator. The upper support has a screw hole for securing the muf- fler to the generator bracket (18).

(5)After removing screw (H-26), lift the muffler so the lip clears the slot in the generator brack- et. Then move the muffler away from the generator bracket.

(6)Install inner shield (H-16) and replacement muffler (H-20).

(7)Install new exhaust flange gasket (H-21) and connect exhaust flange to the muffler.

(8)Align upper screw hole in top of the muffler support with the screw hole in tab of generator bracket (18). Install screw (H-26).

(9)Tighten fasteners to the torque values shown in Table 10.
