Initializing and Calibrating Modules

The installed modules are initialized and stored calibration factors are uploaded from either the disk drive or module NV-RAM into system RAM. The configuration menu of the module using the calibration factors will show if the calibration factors have been successfully loaded. In some cases, a message appears the first time the module is entered. In other cases, the operation of the module changes until a software calibration is performed to reload calibration factors. Refer to the User’s Guide and Service Guide of the individual modules for more information.

Autoloading Configurations

The configuration file autoload flag was detected on the disk and configuration files are being loaded into the modules. The autoload flag was set during a previous session with the

HP 16500B Logic Analysis System. Usually a configuration is autoloaded as a shortcut if the module configuration file is used repeatedly.
