Front panel LEDs

The satellite modem has five LEDs on the front panel, as shown in Figure 22: Front panel LEDs on the HN9000 modem on page 30. By their appearance—on, off, or blinking—the LEDs indicate the modem's operating status.

Table 6: Front panel LED indications on page 30 explains what the modem status is when the LEDs are on, off, or blinking. On means the LED is continuously lit. Blinking means the LED is usually on, but intermittently turns off briefly.

LAN	On	The modem's LAN port is connected to another
		network device such as your computer.
	Off	Problem with the LAN configuration; requires	Check network connections.

Blinking The modem is transmitting data packets to the network satellite.

	Off	Problem in the transmit path.
Receive	On	Signal quality is good.

Check transmit cable connection.
