Adjusting the Parking Brake Pro 15, Pro 18

3.

If necessary, the wires can be adjusted by

 

 

tightening the adjuster nuts on each side of the

 

 

steering collar.

 

 

Do not tension the cables too much, they should

 

 

only be tightened against the steering collar.

 

 

Hold the wire so it does not twist.

 

 

If you only tension one side the steering wheel’s

 

 

centre position may change.

 

 

Check the wire tension as set out in point 2

 

 

after you have made the adjustment.

Adjusting the Parking Brake Pro 15, Pro 18

 

The parking brake is adjusted as follows:

 

1.

Remove the transmission cover.

 

2.

Unhook the spring (A) from the screw (B).

 

3.

Check that the parking brake is not on.

 

4.

Adjust the play between the casing and the

adjustment screw to 1 mm when one pulls the

 

 

 

casing.

Adjust with the nuts on the adjustment screw.

5.

Tighten the nuts moderately to avoid damaging

 

 

the threads.

Replace the spring (A).

 

7. Check that the parking brake works.

 

Adjusting the Parking Brake Pro 18 AWD

Check that the parking brake is adjusted correctly by placing the machine on a slope with the front and rear axles disengaged. Apply and lock the parking brake. When the machine does not stand still, the parking brake should be adjusted accord- ing to the following.

1.Remove the left-hand wing cover.

2.Check that the parking brake is not on.

3.Adjust the play between the casing and the adjustment screw to 1 mm (0.040") when one pulls the casing. This gives play on the pedal of approximately 40 mm (1.5"). Adjust using the nuts on the adjustment screw.

4.Tighten the nuts moderately to avoid damaging the threads.

5.Check that the parking brake works.

6.Assemble the left-hand wing cover.

WARNING!

A poorly adjusted parking brake can result in reduced braking ability.
