2. Be sure the cables do not interfere with the computer cover and do not
block the power-supply fan blades or air-flow paths.
3. Reinstall the computer cover.
4. Reconnect all devices and check any devices that might have become
disconnected, such as the keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
5. Connect all power cords to electrical outlets.
Step 8. Attaching the bezels
This option package includes two bezels that conform to the curved design of
some computers. If your computer has a curved design, you can attach one of
the included bezels so that the front of the CD-ROM drive matches the exterior
cabinet. Choose the bezel that best fits your computer,and then attach it after
you have mounted the CD-RW drive in the appropriatebay.
Note: Depending on the exterior design of your computer,you might need to
attach the bezel before replacing the computer cover.
Step 9. Updating your computer configuration
After you have completed the hardware installation, restart your computer.
Usually,the configuration-setup information screen is displayed when you turn
on your computer.If you don’t see this screen, check your computer
documentation for information about accessing the configuration or setup
utility program.
Tosee the configuration information for most IBM computers, press F1 during
startup when the IBM graphic displays in the upper right corner of the screen.
When you have finished reviewing the information, save the changes and exit.
Step 10. Installing the Easy CD Creator and DirectCDsoftware
Toinstall the Easy CD Creator and DirectCD software, do the following:

The Easy CD Creator and DirectCD contains the following programs:

Tofully use the capabilities of your CD-RW drive, you need to install both the
Easy CD Creator and DirectCD programs.If you also have an MR CD-ROM or
DVD-ROM drive in your computer,you might need to install a UDF Reader
program to read certain CD-R or CD-RWdiscs in these drives.
