The DCS9550 1S1 Storage Expansion Unit design concept is based on a subsystem together with a set of plug-in modules. The DCS9550 1S1 Storage Expansion Unit subsystem as supplied comprises:

•Chassis and Backplane with integral.Operators Panel.(See Figure 1–8)

•Up to 16 Serial ATA (SATA) Drive Carrier modules (See Figure 1–9)

–Serial ATA (SATA) drives with appropriate switching card.
