Power Guidelines, Requirements, and Specifications

For field-wiring connections, use copper conductors only.

Figure 19 shows how to attach the grounding and power cables. The grounding cable attaches to one of the grounding points on the upper edge of the router rear panel. The accessory box shipped with the router contains the lug used to secure the grounding cable the grounding point. The power cables insert into the quick connect terminals located on each power supply— the input terminal is labeled -48Vand the return terminal is labeled RTN.

Before router installation begins, a licensed electrician must attach the cable lug to the grounding cable that you supply. A cable with an incorrectly attached lug can damage the router (for example, by causing a short circuit).
