Tofastenthe ends of a seam,pressthe reverse
stitch controlandsew severalreversestitches.
Raisethepresserfoot.. Removethe fabric,draw the
threadsto the back andcut them with the thread
cutter..Thethreadsarecut in a proper length for the
next seam.

The seam guides on the needle plate are engraved to
help you measure seam width.
The lines are 1/8'°(&3cm) apart, with the 4/8"(1.3cm),
5/8"'(1 o6cm) and 6/8'(1.9cm) engraved..

O Cornering guide
To turn a square corner 5/8'"(1,6 cm) from the fabric edge°
1,, Stop stitching and lower the needle by turning the
handwheel counterclockwise,
2o Raise the presser foot and turn the fabric to line up
the edge with the 5/8"" (1,,6 cm) seam guide.
3. Lower the presser foot and begin stitching in the
new direction.,
Line up the fabric edge facing you with the
cornering guide shown,

Quilter
The quilter guide lines will help to determine the
distance for quilting stitches.
Loosen the quilter holding screw.
Slide the quilter in the hole to the desired width, and
tighten the screw..
Refer to page 40 for the details of quilting.
