GSetting the Optical Output Mode

Converts linear PCM (LPCM) voice signals recorded on the DVD disc to down sampling 48 kHz digital signals and outputs them from the optical cable.

CAUTION

When playing DTS-encoded (CDs), excessive noise may be exhibited from the analog stereo outputs. To avoid possible damage to audio system, the consumer should take proper pro- cautions when the analog stereo outputs of the DVD player is connected to an amplification system. To enjoy DTS Digital Surround (TM) playback, an external 5.1 channel DTS Digital Surround (TM) decoder (KDS-P900) system must be connected to the digital output (S/PDIF, AES/EBU, or TosLink) of the DVD player.

IPBC(Playback Control) Function On/Off for VCD version 2.0

Each time you touch [ PBC ], the mode switches as follows:
